Central Bayside Community Health Services has been appointed by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) as a provider of treatment for members of the veteran community who are experiencing problems with alcohol and other substances.
Service Description
This is a free, confidential and non-judgemental Counselling service that is available to serving members and veterans.
Eligibility
A DVA client must be referred for the provision of services by written referral from one of the following:
- A medical practitioner
- Personnel of a hospital such as a Discharge Planner
- A Mental Health or Allied Health practitioner registered under Medicare
- The Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service (VVCS)
A DVA card is required for this service.
